Recent issues have been straining the group dynamic once more. As acting "leader" and fellow mediator of the Clan, I've asked Al to give me m0d powers so that I can lay down new rules.
1. There will be no thread on this forum that will ignite debates or express personal issues that will damage or contradict the beliefs and/or feelings of other members. If you INSIST on creating topics that can potentially do so, then present the topic in a polite, civil, and neutral tone (or post them on a blog outside of the boards where it can be kept private). Everyone has the right to an opinion, but if you attack an issue or person that I or any member sees as damaging, then you will be warned. I'm instigating a three-strikes policy. At the third warning, you will no longer be active on the RP Boards.
2. Should an issue arise between two or more members of the Clan, you have two options: you can bring in a mediator to solve the problem in a civil manner, or you can take the issue somewhere outside of the boards. Under any circumstances, personal issues will be kept just as so: personal. I do not wish for every member to be involved with a single issue, because that leads to taking sides, and taking sides will divide the Clan once more.
3. This is more or less a common sense rule. As one of the purposes of this project is to collaborate our writing as a group once more, we must accept the differences between our members' beliefs, lifestyles, etc. Think of it like a job; it may be crap, but you gotta live with what you have. You may not like someone in this Clan, but you gotta stay here if you want to reconnect with the group dynamic we was had. And if you no longer feel the need to reconnect or work with certain individuals, then you have only one click to end it all.
I'm sorry I had to be straight-forward and set down these rules, but someone had to do it. If you all insist on a "leader" for this Clan, then I'm going to do that job. If there's any questions or comments regarding these rules, then feel free to email me.
