"Now, I need a time and place that you know he's at. Or was at, if your human brain can't handle the timeline confusion." The Doctor punched a button and the green glass column in the center started to move up and down, a strange whining sound emitting from it. The entire place shook a bit, not enough to unbalance a person, but very noticable.

Yeah tokyo, New years eve 2000, he had one last night on the town before the bastard jumped ship and left the planet it serch of bigger and better things, and I was hopeing i'd find some way to summon him back, but now we can just go to him!" Alex was exstatic.

The Doctor nodded. "Tokyo it is then." She paused to imput the year, glancing at Alex. "It's your life dream to find this cad and you've lost him for more than five years?"
She punched in the date and started the TARDIS up. "Now, we've got to get dressed up for Tokyo." She walked to the other side of the TARDIS and to a set of wooden doors leading away.

"Dress?" Alex asked not missing the joke about his failure to catch the sneaky bastard, "And for the record i'm missed him by one day, if he hadn't left earth i'd have had him!" he fallowed her through the doors.

The Doctor rolled her eyes and mourned the Sixth Human Empire. If it was then, the coppers would have nabbed the Pirate King with no problems. "Yes, dress. You're going to Tokyo! You remember the insanity of that place, don't you? Brilliant vacation spot if you don't drink the water."
She pointed. "There's a wardrobe here, first left, second right, third on the left, straight ahead, under the stairs, past the bins, and in the fifth door on the right. We'll gear up there. I may have some old shock guns from Raxacoriophalipatorius in there too."

"Right guns, guns are good, and kinves, big fuck off shiney ones." He put on a fake accent, "Guns for show, knives for a pro." He grined in a psycotic squirel way.

"Humans and your guns. I've only got non-lethal, so no ideas, mate. Defence only." She pushed open the door to the Wardrobe. It was big. Three stories tall kinda big. The Doctor walked across the little bridge from the hallway to the clothing and started to shift through. "Oh, there's my old scarf. And that frock coat from that one time on Gallifrey." She smiled softly, running her hands over the selection. Then she paused. "Oh, bugger all... I'm a woman now. That's a bit strange..." She sighed and took the staircase down. "Women's clothes are down here. I'll be up in a tic. Don't make a mess."

"Right right, non-leathal, wouldn't want a crime now." Al laughed though he seemed uneasy about the idea.

A few minutes of shuffling about later and the Doctor emerged from below. "You best be done, mate. The TARDIS will have found us a spot by now."
She jumped up the last few steps. She wore red tinted sunglasses, a slinky red and pink blouse, and a black skirt to her knees. She also traded her trainers for black, shiny boots, but with no heel. Running in heels was murder.
The Doctor belted on a stungun from the shelf and tapped her feet. "Oi, mate."

Al walked out with a freshly combed and gelled spike to his hair, along with a purple silk jacket and pink shirt. Gold chain, sunglasses and black jeans. Biker boots ended the ensamble.
"Whattya think? Tough guy right?"

The Doctor smirked. "Or the the queerest puff in the Pacific." She tossed him a stungun. "Let's go." She lead the way out.

Al caught the gun and hefted it exparamentally, "This thing works like a regular gun right?" He asked fallowing her.

"Sure." The Doctor chirped. Then she caught the door's end and leaned back to look at Alex. "Um. Actually, that depends on the decade..." She pulled out her stungun and demonstrated. "Just flip the catch, charge the buffer, notch the setting back to four, release the safety, squeeze the grip, and pull the trigger while holding down the side chamber." She spun hers away to its holder. That maniac smile again. "Simple, but important. Don't want ta blow yourself up, ya?" She spun around and strolled down the hallway.

Alex paused for a moment and then fallowed after her, "But I can still pistol whip him right? That's still done the same way?"

The Doctor pushed open the TARDIS door and lead Alex out. "Well, yeah, you could, yeah. But the stungun make lovely sparks and lightning jumps. Very pretty."
They were in an alley between two stores. Ahead, there were people walking idly by and a few cars passing. Not the most active area of town. The Doctor looked up. "The main city's to our right." She pointed. "See how the sky goes reddish yellow that way? Dead giveaway. Let's go."
They walked out of the alley to the main street. Ahead was a long road of blinding lights and neon, so bright, it was like a sunny day. Towers, department buildings, and studios were ahead, along with more ground traffic. The Doctor held out her hand to her new companion. "Now, which night club was this King singing at?"
